1.27 NATIONAL NETWORK MEMBERS
The 1.27 National Network has 18 current and active member organizations. Each is operating independently as a “bridge ministry” in their local communities. Though there is overlap in our missions, we all work to bridge the local church with local foster care, every member organization has a slightly different approach to fulfilling this call.

MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS
Arizona 1.27, AZ
Arizona 1.27 trains local churches on how to best recruit and care for the members of their congregation engaged in the ministry of foster care and adoption. They utilize best practices in training churches so that they can care for their families with excellence and through Wrap Around Teams offer every member of that congregation a means of caring for the foster or adoptive child. |
BCS Together, TX
BCS Together exists to tangibly support and encourage foster, kinship and adoptive families by connecting the church and community to their needs and to advocate for family preservation/reunification. We do this through our Closet which provides essentials for families upon placement, The Haven a home for teens without a foster placement, and providing support and community to those walking this journey. We are located in Bryan, Texas and serve the Brazos Valley. |
The CALL in Arkansas, AR
The CALL partners with the Division of Children and Family Services in Arkansas to recruit, train and support foster and adoptive families for children and teens in foster care. They provide a way for Christians to invite the mission field into their homes, to serve those most vulnerable in their communities. |
Children's Opportunity Foundation, MN
Children’s Opportunity Foundation (COF) is a faith based non-profit organization, dedicated to providing family support, parent education, resources, and holistic care to the families and children they serve. COF exists to make a difference one child and family at a time in order to see strong families and build strong communities. They serve both the at-risk child and their family in a crisis through advocating awareness, supporting families, and training parents and caregivers. |
Coalition of Care, OH
Coalition of Care is a nonprofit bridge ministry focused on mobilizing churches to respond to the God’s call to care for orphans and vulnerable children. They partner with churches to care for vulnerable children and fragile families, positively impacting the trajectory of their lives, before bad things happen, before a family is separated. They do this by meeting immediate physical needs, providing ongoing relational support, and equipping families to open their homes to kids if needed. |
Congregations for Kids, NC
Congregations For Kids equips and empowers the community to be champions for children, families and social workers in the foster care system in the greater Charlotte area. They recruit and train foster parents, and people and churches to wrap-around and support those families. They recruit and train mentors for older kids leaving and graduating from foster care and volunteers to support social workers working in child welfare. They help stabilize families by meeting one-time immediate physical needs. |
Crossroads NOLA, LA
Crossroads NOLA’s mission is to connect children in foster care to the families, individuals, and opportunities they need to thrive. They recruit new foster families from local churches, develop them into competent caregivers for kids from hard places through training in TBRI®, and support them through the ups and downs of their journey as foster parents. They also provide professional training for DCFS staff, sponsor foster parent support groups in New Orleans and Covington Regions, and work with churches to develop foster care support ministries. |
DC 127, District of Columbia
D.C. 1.27 is dedicated to protecting children by empowering parents to preserve families. They provide wrap-around services to parents and grandparents who are isolated, overwhelmed, and under-resourced. They advocate for new foster homes by providing information sessions and connecting parents to Child & Family Services for licensing. Their mission is to unite churches in Washington D.C. to recruit and train foster families so that no child has to wait for a home. |
Defend the Fatherless, SC.
Defend The Fatherless is a nonprofit organization in York County, South Carolina, supporting the efforts of families interested in fostering and/or adopting children. They do this through their community foster closet, gatherings of foster and adoptive families, tutoring help, and a frozen meal program. |
Florida 127, FL
In order to be part of the solution to the foster care crisis in Tampa Bay, FL, Florida 1.27 locks arms with local churches to provide practical support to kids and families throughout their connection to the foster care system. They meet physical, immediate needs through Care Portal and consistent, safe transportation for kids with the Mentors With Wheels program. They provide relational support to families through wrap around teams that care for families connected to foster care. |
Foster 325, TX
Foster 325 is a collaboration of churches committed to ensuring loving, stable homes for every child in foster care within the 325 area code. We help churches take their next steps into orphan care and calling Christians to what God has called them to in caring for kids affected by foster care. We also work to remove barriers for potential foster families as they seek to become licensed foster parents by holding Agency Fairs where they can meet the child placing agencies in our area, walking alongside them as they become licensed, and providing support after placement. |
Hope (Local), TX
Hope (Local) works with churches to develop ministries and events to support and recruit foster and adoptive families within their congregations. They also support families through practical help through Care Portal. |
Ignite Hope, GA
Ignite Hope is the voice of at risk kids, in the public square and straight to the heart of God. They execute this calling through rehabilitative and restorative services, resource creation, wrap-around support and encouragement in the space of child welfare. They are headquartered in North Atlanta, GA. They advocate, resource and encourage nationally and offer spiritual-wraparound support for Christ-centered child welfare ministries internationally as well. |
Project 1.27, CO
Project 1.27's goal is every child in a nurturing, well-supported family. We work to engage, inspire, recruit and resource churches and families to serve children in our community through faith-based family preservation, kinship care, foster care, and adoption. Project 1.27 believes in building relationships, God’s calling, a pioneering spirit, community, partnership, integrity, and hope in the fact that every child and youth deserves a forever home. |
Project Belong, VA
Project Belong believes every child belongs in a family. The "VEHICLE" for that vision... believers in the local church. Project Belong inspires, recruits and resources the local church in the northern region of Virginia to serve vulnerable children (and the adults caring for them) with the love of Jesus. They support foster, adoptive, kinship & bio parents caring for children by coordinating wrap-around Care Communities, recruiting long term mentors matched with young adults who've aged out of foster care, training churches with trauma informed children's ministries, and facilitating believers encouraging community social workers. |
Spokane 1.27, WA
Spokane 1.27 is a ministry of The Spokane Fatherhood Initiative and is partnering with churches in the greater Spokane area to support and recruit foster families. They also connect local churches to child welfare employees to support them through the Social Light program. |
The Riverside Project, TX
The Riverside Project is a collaborative network of agencies, congregations, nonprofits, school districts, and passionate individuals working together to transform the foster care system in Houston. Whether it's resourcing church leaders or training babysitters, The Riverside Project works to help children thrive. From kinship family support to bringing together leaders of residential programs, they are helping to fill gaps in an overwhelmed child welfare system. |
